Chilly Days, Warm Thoughts

CHILLY February brings more Covid vaccinations for the older generation, who will have to withstand the cold in queues to overcome the coronavirus. For others it's a still longer wait in what has seemed a frozen lockdown age but, now at least, with hope of a true summer and fuller life ahead. We can wait a little longer.

While waiting, this non-profit-making, light-literary website brings you an uplifting story in a popular series, set in one of the most relaxing and historic holiday areas of the world.

The eighth 'Sam Stone investigates' thriller/romance is also a stand-alone novel. In it our handsome but troubled hero, from Lancashire's Fylde coast, takes refuge from the pandemic and past tragedies - on a delightful Aegean island. However, new challenges await him and what he had least expected, a fresh passion too.

Why not check out the opening chapters of The Golden Door, which transports our mind and lifts our spirit to beautiful foreign shores? It opens the door on what matters most in life, the freedom to live and love as we choose and to fulfil ourselves.

See our regularly updated Pages for You (near top of right-hand column) and full of free reading across a wide range. You can contribute, too, or just comment. Books are also available on Kindle or in paperbacks, sponsored by the British Arts Council. All purchases help maintain this 10-year-old website, started by retired journalists tired of all the bad news.

So, come and join us; share in the joy of life as we help each other and celebrate in good spirit. Let's make 2021 the year our world recovers and does even better - by learning from our mistakes.

Best wishes to our readers, everywhere in the world.
