Find Your Hero

OUR latest novel, The Lost Hero, is now available on Kindle for the usual bargain price.
We will also publish it in paperback next month.
This thrilling mystery/romance is set partly here on the Fylde coast of Lancashire but mainly in Hong Kong, where I worked on the South China Morning Post for three exciting years. Happily this light literary website has many readers in that territory, as well as across the globe.
Hopefully, you will all find it an uplifting read and highly apt at this time of individual and worldwide crisis. Nowadays, more than ever, we need those qualities our hero turns to - good  faith, family and fairness - in his struggle against crushing setbacks as he travels across the world to save his livelihood.

Front and back covers are shown here and you can read opening extracts on our Chapter/Story page or by clicking a link on the Books page, where you can also purchase a copy. Paperback editions, sponsored by the British Arts Council, should be available next month. Money received maintains this non-profit-making website begun 10 years ago by retired journalists tired of all the bad news.
You will find more free and uplifting reading available and regularly updated on our Column/Memoir and Poem pages.
Just as fictional bookseller Patrick Fermour found himself cast as hero, we hope you too find your own lost hero - within yourself.
Stay safe and enjoy your reading!
